Chef Moon, owner of Yanako and Chabaa Thai Bistro, launched a new concept—a Thai market and café called Binto, offering lunch and takeout options. Located next to Chabaa, the cafeteria-style space offers prepared foods, ingredients, and kitchen items for cooking Thai dishes at home. It’s a casual, wifi-friendly spot, ideal for meetings or catching up with friends.
Moon envisioned a brand for Binto that would reflect the artful, fresh nature of her food, while also conveying a laid-back, fun, and friendly atmosphere. The logomark represents a traditional Thai “binto” box, a lunchbox with stacked compartments. The use of watercolor art and a brushed font creates a simple, relaxed, and artistic feel. Detailed ingredient illustrations accompany the logo on menus and the website, further enhancing the fresh and creative vibe of the branding.
